RazakSAT® Trademark
Managed the filing of the "RazakSAT®" Trademark in the relevant Product Class (Malaysian Earth Observation Satellite with high-resolution camera).
SpaceX® Collaboration / Launch Agreement
Served as the Legal Director of a Government-Owned Company (GOC) and led the preparation of the RazakSAT® Satellite Launch Agreement for the SpaceX® x ATSB® (MOSTI) collaboration.
Patent Filing - ORBITING SYSTEM at NeQO
Managed the Patent filing for "ORBITING SYSTEM at NeQO". At the material time, SIRIM was appointed as the Patent Agent for the filing and monitoring of the application.
OUR FOUNDER
MD AZEZI BIN HUSAIN @ ABDULLAH
MD. AZEZI BIN HUSAIN @ ABDULLAH read law at the International Islamic University Malaysia, and upon graduating in 2002 began practicing at various law firms until 2009. He was appointed as the Legal Director at Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn Bhd from 2009 until 2020 and was the person responsible for securing the Intellectual Property of the "RazakSAT" brand (a remote sensing satellite, co-developed by Satrec Initiative "SI", a Korean Aerospace Company & ATSB's Engineer). He resume his practicing as IP Lawyer on 2021 until now at Zahari Affendi and Partners. Md. Azezi is an established voice in the Malaysian Intellectual Property circles and is frequently invited to speak at IP Talks, Workshops & Presentations, educating the Malaysian people and industry players on IP.
- Md, Azezi was the Malaysian official Delegate to the UN / Thailand / European Space Agency (ESA) Workshop Space Law held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2010.
- He was selected to participate in Round Table Discussions on Patents in Malaysia, Europe, UK & Japan based on the impending implementation of TPPA & BREXIT in Kuala Lumpur, 2015.
- In 2020, he represented Malaysia for the JPO/IPR Training Course for Practitioners Specializing in TRADEMARKS (IPTP), in Tokyo, Japan.
- From 2016 to 2018, he was made a Task Force member and Panel Reviewer for the "Deraf Garis Panduan Pengkomersilan Harta Intelek Hasil Daripada Kerja-kerja Penyelidikan & Pembangunan (R&D), Kreativiti & Inovasi", by the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation.
- 10th & 29th February 2020: Representing Malaysia as OFFICIAL PARTICIPANT for JPO/IPR Training Course for Practitioners Specializing in Trademarks at Tokyo, JAPAN.
Md. Azezi is a registered Trademark agent and Industrial Design agent at MyIPO and a member of the Malaysian Intellectual Property Association (MIPA). He holds a Bachelor of Laws, LLB(Hons) degree and a DSLP from International Islamic University Malaysia, IIUM, and has been an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya since 2003.
